Hallo! Raise your hand if you are nesting!

As a third time mum, I have definitely been much more intentional this time around with what are the essentials we need for baby versus what are the nice to haves. So when it comes to feeding the newest addition of our family, I have been very selective and took a quality approach.

Breast Pump:

Momcozy M5 (wireless breast pump)

Haakaa silcone breast pump

Bottles:

Bibs glass bottles - 8 oz

Bibs glass bottle - 4 oz

Wooden and silcone bottle cleaner

Breast Pump.

I swear by the haakaa. Once my milk comes in there is so much leaking on the breast the baby is not feeding off of, and this really helped build up my milk supply and production with my second (I only regret not having it with my first). There are some fantastic online tutorials that explain how to properly use the haakaa. And once you get the hang of the suction, it is really straightforward.

Here is the haakaa how to use video: https://haakaausa.com/pages/haakaa-breast-pump#:~:text=Squeeze%20the%20bottom%20of%20the,the%20nipple%2C%20creating%20a%20suction.

I had a hand pump with my first two babies. And as simple as it was to use it, my hands would cramp, it took a lot of extra time and honestly was the last thing I wanted to be doing after a feed. So an electric and wireless breast pump was a must. The ability and freedom to manage my time while simultaneously pumping is a game changer. Having girlfriends who have used various different brands, the momcozy M5 rose to the top favorites.

Here is a video of me unboxing the momcozy, and all the components that come with it.

Bottles.

Personally (and for another day) I am not a fan of plastics. So where I can minimize use of plastic I do. These bibs glass bottles (8 oz glass bottle and 4 oz glass bottle) are so simple to clean, and use. And that is right I only ever get two bottles. I mostly breastfeed, so the bottle is not regularly used at first and then as baby ages up, I find the glass bottles so easy to clean and sterlize I have never run into the issue of a dirty bottle.

With my first born, I used the life brand baby glass bottle. Which they come with this silicone cover to prevent any breakage from a fall. While this was useful I found it challenging to take on and off to clean. And you definitely need to clean between the silicone case and the bottle (it can start to smell - speaking from experience).

4 oz life factory glass bottle

Next on my list is a good probiotic to start to introduce to the baby (taking any recommendations) and some formula to have on hand - 'just in case'.
